Migrant = terrorist; whatever next?

A cry from the heart, a cry of pain. How much longer will the media and many stakeholders generously associate the title of "migrant", or even "Muslim", with that of "terrorist"?

Who can grant themselves "legally" or simply "humanely" the authority to qualify someone as a "migrant", or even to put forward this "migrant" status to define the identity of a "terrorist"?

As a reminder, to date, until proved otherwise, there is no legal definition of the quality or status of "migrant", unlike the legal status of a refugee.

Similarly, who is entitled to judge the faith of others or their religious beliefs? On what secularist altar (whose co-religionists claim freedom of expression) is it permissible to immolate others because of their so-called denominational membership?

In both of the above cases, those who label a terrorist or criminal as a 'migrant' or 'Muslim' have probably wondered how they would like others to speak about themselves. Let us hope so.

It is increasingly disturbing to note, and not only through the algorithms associated with 'search engines', that, without the benefit of hindsight, anyone (whether a natural person or, more critically, a so-called 'legal entity') can label others with the 'personality' of this or that.

In the present case, let us stop for a moment to consider the collateral damage caused by such a "migrant = terrorist", or even "Muslim = terrorist", association. Who would like to be designated as a member of a group that is also described as "terrorist"?

More than ever, in the name of reason, in the name of human dignity and quite simply in the name of justice, let us resist what some of us confusingly mix up in a total absence of separation: "Migrant = terrorist". Whatever next?
