A Wish List

Our politicians, responsible for policies, could:

  • remember that migration is an intrinsic part of the human condition and should be recognised as unique to each person
  • commit to be vigilant and caring in their approach to migration management
  • remember that respect for human dignity is a fundamental political principle
  • consider that migration depends on the needs of each migrant, remembering that some people move under duress. The refugees thus form a particular group of migrants under the protection of the Geneva Convention of 1951 relating to the Status of Refugees
  • encourage governments and institutions committed to peace and socio-economic development to appreciate the positive challenges of migration since, in fact, we are all migrants.

I chose to work with the Josefa Foundation, because I agree with the Josefa vision. Thus the desire to have a renewed perspective on (forced) migration in our society seems innovative to me...

Who is the refugee? How is he viewed?

Are we, among ourselves, different in our place at the heart of the city?
